The tobacco industry has always been an extremely controversial and challenging industry. There has been many industries that have attempted to compete with tobacco companies, which until recently was to no avail. This was true until evolution took its courseand penetrated into the once unbreakable shield of the tobacco industry. Tobacco companies' market shares have begun to gradually diminish; this referred to evolution is the revolution of electronic cigarettes.Companies and society as a whole have attempted on multiple occasions to provide a “cool” and “healthy”alternative to these extremely dangerous bundles of crop.

Electronic cigarettes were introduced in China in 2006. Since their release, these devices have evolved into a multibillion dollar industry. Next to Europe, the USA is the leading seller of eCigs offering in excess of 400 different brands. In fear of the e-cigarettecompany'sgobbling up their market share, tobacco companies began acquiringeCig companies in order to expand their portfolio. This allows these mature companies to ride the new generation's wave of smoking.
Unlike eCigs, the smoking of tobacco has been around for centuries. It was fairly popular in the beginning of the 1900s but gained much traction in the mid-20thcentury. Up until 1964,there was hardly any knowledge of the negative health effects that smoking tobacco imposed. In 1964, a United States Surgeon General's reportwas released which stated that smoking tobacco was dangerous and addictive. Since then, the number of active smokers reduced from approximately 45% to one-tenth of the US population.
According to several users, e-cigarettes can be life-savingand/or life-changing.It also has been said that traditional tobacco smokers would be healthier if they completely switched tosmokinge-cigarettes in comparison to tobacco. The reasoning behind this is that eCigs lack the presence of tobacco, which cancels out many of the health-threatening carcinogens and other side-effects of a burning cigarette. E-cigarettes should not be classified even remotely in the same category as tobacco products. Just because “cigarette” appears in the name, do not let it deceive you. Aside from the shape of devices, potential to addition of nicotine to e-liquid, and the release of vapor in the form of smoke, thesearen't near as bad for you as tobacco products.
Traditional cigarettes can lead to headaches, nausea, coughing, sleeping disorders and cancer. This is not to say eCigs are safe, but they are a much safer alternative for a life-long tobacco smoker.
E-cigarettes have becomea worldwide sensation within the past decade. Many eCig users are current or ex-smokers. A few reasons for transitioning from smoking tobacco to smoking e-liquid include: health effects, smell, kids, mobility, and ability to smoke in different areas one couldn't while smoking tobacco. For many, smoking is a habit, a ritual and is psychological. The e-cigarettes – are coupled with several positive effects in comparison to its competition, such as a better taste, minimalizescoughing, andreduces trips to the dentist.
Electronic cigarettes are quite easy mechanisms to use andmaintain. Their life depends on the brand and the quality, as well as the level of maintenance. If all three main parts – battery, e-liquid tank and mouthpiece – are used as recommended, then you can potentially enjoy vaping with the same device for several years. After the purchase of the eCig there are only the minimal costs e-liquid, wicks, etc. Cigarettes can become quite costly. It is common for cigarette smokers to smoke a pack or more a day. For a fraction of the price of a pack of decent cigarettes one can purchase 10ml of e-liquid. It would be very hard to smoke this much of decent grade e-liquid in a day. The savings from switching to e-liquid from tobacco products can be more than a middle class family's tax return. These savings include the reduction in health costs, savings from purchasing e-liquid vs cigarettes, savings in gas from less trips to the store, and savings in work productivity. Knowing all these benefits, what is stopping you from joining the trend?
